Work Less – Make More
Mar 4th, 2011 | By avron | Category: Articles, Internet MarketingSometimes it's nice to look back and see how far we have come.
Because your growth can sometimes be a bit like watching grassgrow.
You can't notice every little movement on a day-by-day basis.
In fact, you would think nothing is happening.
But over a period of months and years, that growth can get out ofcontrol.
For instance, I was reflecting this morning (as I was having mybreakfast)
on a job I did about 13 or 14 years ago.
I decided I wanted to work 20 hours a week. I was making $10 per hour
(plus up to $100 commissions in a good week) so anywherefrom $200 - $300 a week.
I lived in Petersham in Sydney's inner west at the time and I traveled to Chatswood on Sydney's north shore for work.
I sweated my butt off, travelled and made umpteen telemarketingphone calls. And I walked away with $200 - $300 a week.
Now I make that in an hour.
Ok, I am sure with inflation $200 then might be $400 now (maybe). But I'm still pulling in at least 10x as much income as I wasthirteen years ago.
What has made the difference?
Knowledge.
But not traditional knowledge - I haven't been to Universitysince then or done any recognised courses.
But I have invested thousands of hours in self-knowledge.
As a result, I know a heck of a lot more. And I have applied thatknowledge to develop skills.
And as a result, the amount I can bill myself out at has gone upby 1,000%.
Now I am not saying this to brag. I am saying this purely todemonstrate that if you get the knowledge and apply it - yourincome will go up exponentially as well.
So what knowledge should you aim for? Well, if you are inbusiness there couldn't be anything more important in my viewthan knowing how to get more customers.
And if you've got a web site, wouldn't you want to know aboutthe seven biggest mistakes most business owners make?
Remember, there is nothing more powerful than knowledge - whenimplemented and used. It really can increase your income many, many, many times over.
One more thing - it's important. If you're advertising onGoogle Adwords (and if you're not, you probably should be -it's like the phone directory of the 21st century in my opinion)then you really should check out this:http://www.scottbywater.com/total-adwords-domination/
